Our Fresh Success Marketing Group culture focuses on empowerment. We want to set our people up with the resources they need to successfully accomplish objectives. Our leadership team has learned some effective ways to coach our associates. Here are three we’ve tried with good results:
- Offer Feedback in Private: Good leaders understand that it’s important to learn in a safe environment. Therefore, any feedback should be offered in private. This practice allows associates a chance to focus on understanding what improvements need to be made and stay inspired to do well going forward.
- Confirm, Confirm, Confirm: When training people on a new task, managers should stop periodically to confirm that their trainees are clear on what needs to be done and how to do it. Our Fresh Success Marketing Group coaching process encourages our people to learn, do, and then teach. These steps ensure that our associates cement any procedures and practices.
- Ask for Input: As part of our Fresh Success Marketing Group training, we ask our incoming associates if they would approach a process differently. It’s key to remember that innovation is the result of fresh ideas and perspectives. Effective leaders will also ask someone to explain why he or she is handling a procedure in an unexpected manner before deciding if correction is needed.
